Affordable Renters Quotes is built to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, and readable color contrast. We aim at WCAG 2.2 AA practices on public pages.
What we implemented
- A skip link to jump to the main content.
- Labeled form fields, required-state markup, and visible focus outlines.
- Color combinations checked for contrast on body text, buttons, and footer links.
- Mobile navigation that announces expanded/collapsed state.
- Status messages on the quote form that use live regions for errors and success.
- Required fields marked in text, not by color alone. The quote form math check is announced with a text label.

We continue to improve contrast, keyboard order, and screen-reader wording as we find issues.
